🐒 School visits to the Jardin zoologique tropical
The Jardin zoologique tropical welcomes school groups of all ages all year round, by reservation: nursery, primary and secondary schools, as well as holiday centres.
Depending on your needs, you can explore the park on your own or book an educational guided tour led by our team.
🎟️ School prices
- €6 per pupil aged 2 to 12
- €10 per pupil aged 13 and over
- 1 free accompanying adult for every 5 paying children
- €10 per additional adult
- Free entry for the coach driver
The park welcomes groups all year round by reservation, subject to confirmation at least 24 hours in advance.
💳 Payment
Payment can be made:
- on site (bank card or cash),
- or via Chorus Pro for French public bodies
(a purchase order must be sent before the visit, thank you for your understanding).
👩🏫 Educational guided tours
These tours introduce pupils to the park’s exotic animals and tropical plants, while exploring, depending on their age, topics such as biodiversity, animal reproduction and the food chain.
🔹 Duration: about 1 hour 15 minutes
🔹 Price: €120 per group
🔹 Recommended size: up to 30 people
🔹 Language: tours are given in French
Each tour is led by a keeper or an educator and built around a theme suited to the children’s age:
🐣 Babies with fur, feathers and scales (ages 3 to 6)
Discovering the different ways animals are born and grow up:
- Are babies born from their mother’s tummy or from an egg?
- Who looks after the young?
- What do they eat?
🌍 Endangered species around the world (ages 9 to 15)
Raising awareness of biodiversity and conservation:
- What is a species?
- Why are some species endangered?
- What role do zoos play?
🍃 Who eats what? (all ages)
Observing and thinking about diets:
- The different types of diet (herbivore, carnivore, omnivore)
- Physical adaptations to food
- What do animals eat in a zoo?
- The impact of pollution on the food chain
🧺 An easy picnic for teachers and pupils
A shady picnic area is available and can seat up to 150 pupils.
For extra convenience, our team can collect the bags when you arrive, take them to the picnic area at the time you choose, then bring them back to the park entrance after lunch.
